Der erste Spaziergang - the first walk

walk 5

Sehr interessant. Wenn auch banal für andere.

Having dedicated a post to the first run and bike ride, my first evening walk starting from home deserves a post on its own as well, especially because there are some nice mood pictures from this walk. Having worked inside all day long, I needed to get some fresh air that day (it was already more than a week ago) and spontaneously decided to take a few steps outside. It was a nice and pretty hot summer evening and the smell of hay was all around – thanks to freshly mowed meadows. I ended up talking to and got to know three inhabitants of the village. When I stopped to take some pictures, Mr. N. asked me if I was on holiday here. I answered him: „No, I am living here. “ I told him which house I had bought. The first comment of everybody (no exception) is not surprisingly: „This is gonna be a lot of work. “ And I usually answer with my mantra „one thing after another“. But he also told me that I will be coping with the work, he already saw me working industriously on the second floor.

With respect to the meadows, he told me that the land owners hire external companies to make hay bales out oft he hay with their machines. This happens pretty quickly that thes bales are falling of their trucks – either in a round form or quadratic. I didn’t know that. Interesting. Even though trivial for others.
