Zum ersten mal auf Skiern - the first time on skis
Zugegeben - die folgenden Bilder sind nicht ganz aktuell. Sie wurden nämlich Mitte Januar aufgenommen, während der Woche, als hier Langlaufloipen gespurt waren. Hier liegt zwar aktuell noch Schnee, aber nicht mehr so viel, dass es zum Langlaufen reichen würde ... leider, ich hatte immer gehofft, dass es diese Saison nochmal soweit kommt (und so langsam hoffe ich, dass es alternativ mal aufhört zu schneien, sodass ich mich beim Joggen nicht beeinträchtigt fühle). Zum Thema Langlaufen will ich aber unbedingt noch berichten. Und noch was: ich stand dieses Jahr zum ersten Mal auf Skiern. Ich komme nicht aus einer Skifahrer-Familie und in den letzten Jahren in der Schweiz habe ich mich auch immer davor gedrückt. Obwohl Skifahren DAS Thema schlechthin in den Mittagspausen mit Kollegen war und mir auch alle Leute gesagt haben, Langlaufen wäre der Sport für mich, quasi Joggen im Winter. Ich kann nur sagen, es macht wirklich Spaß. Trotz einiger Badewannen (na, erratet ihr, was das ist? ... Der Abdruck im Schnee, den jemand hinterlässt, der hingefallen ist) - und viel zu lernen hab ich auch noch. An der Stelle vielen Dank für die tolle Anfängerstunde, Inge! Und das Bergabfahren muss meiner Meinung nach gar nicht sein, ich bleibe wirklich lieber auf geraden Spuren und trainiere meine Kondition.
I must confess the following pictures are not totally up-to-date. They were made in the middle of January, during the week with a lot of snow when the tracks for cross-country skiing were prepared. We currently do still have some snow here, but not enough to go skiing. I had always hoped that I could get on my skies again, but I had unfortunately no opportunity to do so right here (right now, I rather start to hope that the snow will soon completely disappear so that I can at least run without any restriction). But I definitely want to report on cross-country skiing. By the way, I have stood on skies for the first time this year. I come from a non-skier-family and despite having been talked into skiing a lot during my time in Switzerland (THE topic in winter during lunchbreaks), I had never tried it out before. But it is definitely really fun to be on skies. Despite many bathtubs (can you guess what this is? ... The imprint in the snow one leaves behind when he falls), and I still have a lot to learn. Thanks a lot at this point for your great introduction lesson, Inge! And in my opinion, you really don't have to go downhill at all... at least I prefer to just ski on cross-country tracks and train my endurance.
