Diese Woche hatte ich wieder zwei fleißige, starke und motivierte Helfer: Lea und Jonas. Das Hauptprojekt war die Terrasse. Es musste noch einiges an Erde ausgegraben werden. Zu dritt haben wir angefangen (bis ich die beiden irgendwann im Stich gelassen habe). Als Highlight kam am Freitag ein Traktor in den Garten gefahren, um Schotter abzuladen, den wir dann auf der ausgegrabenen Fläche verteilt haben.

This week, I had two hard-working, strong and motivated helpers again: Lea and Jonas. The main project was to continue with the terrasse. Lots of digging. The three of us started to work on it (but I let them down later on). And as a highlight, we had a tractor bringing gravel on Friday, before evening the surface out.

Letzte Woche hatte ich großartige Hilfe von zwei jungen Männern: Jonas (der Bruder der Freundin meines Bruders) und Johannes (ein Kumpel von Jonas) haben einiges voran gebracht.

Die beiden haben sich praktisch sehr geschickt angestellt, waren top ausgerüstet und sehr motiviert (und ich beeindruckt), sodass ich sie gleich auf die Balkone losgelassen habe, anstatt detaillierte Anweisungen zu geben (ich hab nur sichergestellt, dass sie sich angegurtet haben): die Schweißnähte der Folge der Geländererhöhung abflexen, Abschleifen und Streichen. Als Ausgleich zu den schweren Arbeiten wurden innen Tapeten abgelöst.

Last week I had great help by two young and strong men: Jonas (the brother of my brother's girlfriend) and Johannes (a friend of Jonas) brought some things forward. 

They were very hands-on, well equiped and motivated (and I was impressed). As they knew better than me what to do, I did not give them much instructions and just let them start with the balconies (only I assured that they were secured): cutting off welding seams (of the extentions of the balustrades), grinding and then painting. As a balance to the hard work, they took off wallpapers inside.
