Sarah Tischer

The person behind the project is Sarah Tischer (born Braun), she's in her thirties and grew up at the lake of Constance. After her studies of economics in Munich (with different stays abroad and internships), she has been working in the financial service sector in Switzerland for 3.5 years. That's where she discovered the pleaure of running as well as nature (and especially the mountains), contributing to her chouce to quit her job after a relatively short time in professional life, to maintain a different lifestyle and dedicate herself to other activities.

After a 2-month long pilgrimage through France and Spain on the Camino de Santiago, Sarah felt ready to start her own project and bought old farmhouse and bed&breakfast in Igelsberg in order to renovate it and reopen it as the „Black Forest Lodge“. She also lives in it herself, striving to life a simple, independent and active life in close touch with nature.

Besides running, Sarah also enjoys doing other sports such as yoga and exploring the Black Forest hiking or by bike. Reading, learning and speaking foreign languages, cooking and baking belong to her favourite activities as well.
